Arlington Hill Cemetery is located at 56838 28th Avenue (Cemetery Road), and it is owned and operated by the City of Bangor, as guided by City Council's Cemetery Committee.

Cemetery Rules

1. Our cemetery is open only during daylight hours.

2. Please exercise caution while driving in the cemetery.  Speed limit 5 mph. 

3. Please respect all gravesites.

4. Snowmobiles, off-road vehicles, skateboards, snowboarding, and sledding are prohibited within the cemetery boundaries.

5. Planting of trees, shrubs, evergreens, fencing, rocks, or wood chips are prohibited in the cemetery boundaries. 

6. Please use plastic or terra cotta containers and pots. Glass containers are prohibited.

7. Fall, Winter and Christmas decorations, and flowers must be removed by April 15th. Spring and Summer decorations and flowers must be removed by October 15.  After these dates, decorations will be removed at the discretion of the sexton. 

8. Please use trash receptacles for disposal of refuse.

9. No grading, leveling or excavating upon burial space. Mounds, which hinder the free use of a lawn mower or other gardening apparatus, are prohibited. Surfaces other than earth or sod are prohibited.

10. The cemetery sexton has the right and authority to remove and dispose of any and all growth, emblems, displays or containers that become unsightly, are a source of litter or become a maintenance problem.

11. Foundations will be poured twice a year.  Orders for spring/summer must be received and paid by April 15th and orders for fall/winter must be received and paid by October 15.  Contact Bangor City Hall to order foundations.  

12. To purchase gravesites in this cemetery or in the newer West Addition, please call the Bangor City Hall.
